Rich Girl: Incredibly gentle time filler in reference to "meager little rich gal" Schoelen leaving her life of comfort in her daddy's Bel-Air mansion and trying to make it on her own, ultimately hooking up with a blue-collar rock singer. Cherry 2000: Post-Mad Max venture in regards to a lady mercenary employed to bust into a 21st century android warehouse run by maniacs in what used to be the American Southwest. The film is a tad more fun than its restricted theatrical discharge may lead you to believe. Cast includes Melanie Griffith, Ben Johnson, Harry Carey, Jr., David Andrews, Tim Thomerson, Pamela Gidley, and Jennifer Mayo. (93 minutes, 1988)
The Page Turner: A 1O-year-old gal who is committed to becoming a piano genius auditions for a music scholarship, but is turned down by the dean of the school. 10 years later she puts herself into the same ladies home, gets the family to trust her, and plans her revenge. Lawyer Man: Powell is aces in this entertaining drama as an ambitious attorney, with an eye for the chicks, who tangles with crooked congressmen. Blondell is his dependable, lovesick secretary.
