Enjoy Your Workout With Mini Trampolines

By Jane Bracken

Fitness is a dreaded topic, especially making up a routine. More than likely you have tried to start up a routine or have made a new one and just quit shortly after. Maybe you tried time consuming sports, rainy running, or expensive DVD's that are just the same low class workout.

If they were more enjoyable - you would do them. Mini trampolines make these routines enjoyable. Unlike any other piece, a trampoline is something you will actually have fun on while getting in shape. The best part is; most likely you own one or someone you know does.

Make sure you receive the doctor's okay before you start jumping away. Health can be an issue if you jump enough to irritate an existing problem. However if you are cleared to go then you just need to pick up a routine. You can either just make your own or pick one up off the web or a DVD.

One could hardly think of a more fun piece of equipment than a trampoline. Most people have memories from childhood of jumping on trampoline for hours and hours. This same enthusiasm often carries over into adulthood once you try the trampoline at home.

What kind of workouts are available for a mini trampoline? Many tips and exercises can be found online at places like www.jumpforhealth.com. The site also links you to many DVDs with trampoline exercises with fun names such as Cardiolates and Dance Bound. Free videos are also available on YouTube with users posting their own variations to exercises found on popular DVDs.

The most popular routines for mini trampolines are closely related to Yoga and sometimes Pilates. However when you get into a dance-esque workout you are bound to build more cardio strength compared to Yoga; where you gain flexibility, core strength, and balance.

Mini trampolines are easily purchased from retailers such as Sears and Best Buy. When buying a trampoline, be sure that it is well-built and has a weight limit that will support you. When beginning your workouts, listen to the instructions on any DVDs that you have purchased. Do not try to jump too high as this is less safe and doesnat give you a better workout anyway.

Another important tip is to exercise in a safe area. Be sure that your ceiling is not too low to jump, and that there are no dangerous objects nearby just in case you fall. Jumping is a low-impact and safe form of exercise for healthy people, and it also provides a level of variety that will keep you working out for many years to come. - 16887
