Top Ten Sitcoms of All Time

By Wayne Torres

Three's Company: This show started in the 1970s and was a surprise hit. A guy pretending to be gay and living with 2 women was very provocative back then. Maybe even taboo to many during that era.

Nine. The Dick Van Dyke Show. Just about everybody on this show was hilarious. An absolute classic.

8. Arrested Development. A newer show created by Ron Howard. Based on the lives of the once wealthy Bluth family. Very funny and unfortunately did not last a very long time on the air.

Seven. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Similar to Seinfeld, this sitcom's characters were selfish and insecure but also very funny.

I Love Lucy. This very funny show has been showing on the air since 1951. Obviously, re-runs but still funny even in today's standards. This show has many die-hard fans proven by the I Love Lucy conventions every year.

Five. Curb Your Enthusiasm. From the creator of Seinfeld, Larry David, is brilliant when playing his selfish and grossly politically incorrect alter ego. Very profane language.

Four. The Simpsons. Yes, it's a cartoon. But a cartoon that has been making us all laugh for 20 odd years.

3. All In The Family. Ground breaking stuff in this hilarious sitcom. Not your typical kind of humor but you'll laugh just the same.

Seinfeld. Ensured to become a classic, this television show was hot right out of the gates all the way until the final episode where the final line of the show just happened to be the very first line on the very first episode; these details are what made this show so funny.

One. The Honeymooners. Jackie Gleason once said that they were four people on one small set that managed to be funny and entertaining without profanity or any sort of sexual innuendo. Most of the episodes took place in the Kramden's kitchen with only the four primary actors. And it was funny. - 16887
