Installing Your First Subwoofer Speaker

You will generally find home theater systems with five small speakers, which are called satellites. There are large speaker as well, which serve as the bass and are called subwoofer.

The three important speaker components that for a home theater systems are mid range speakers, Bass or woofers, and the tweeter or the treble.

When combined, these provide excellent sound for your home entertainment system.

Thee speakers provide you with surround sound experience, which is similar in a movie theater and that too, without leaving the comfort of your house. You can choose from hundreds of models and brands these subwoofers are available in. Ensure that the speakers you buy should work as a team.

For the same, go for voice matching while choosing your subwoofers. It will ensure that these give harmonic sound for your home theater systems. On the other hand, if the coordination in the sound is missing, then the sound might break up while traveling to one speaker from another.

Note that voice matched speakers are a must to produce harmonic voice quality for your home theater systems.

Some buyers go for their present brand. They contact the manufacturers to check whether the new series gives the sound similar to that of the speakers they already have.

While assembling the subwoofer, use the powered ones. You will find many DTS and Dolby Digital soundtracks, which are known as LFE or low frequency effect speakers. These make the sound more life-like.

Apart from these, you should also give importance to explosions or thunder effects.

With more space available in your home entertainment system, you can choose power subwoofers having built-in amp with enough watts to be accommodated in the room. Moreover, in order to have larger driver, ensure that you have deeper bass.
