Post diction: Errors In Poker

By Joyce Luce

Prediction is one familiar word we often hear everyday. Personages like Nostradamus, Cayce are related to this word in the eyes of both intellectuals and ordinary individuals. But there is an opposite of this word which is called post diction which is not an everyday word unlike its popular counterpart. However, post diction is as prevalent in the society as prediction is, though we might never know it.

Post diction is a condition wherein you get a situation that had already passed and place a bias analysis on it. In the world of sports this is more commonly known as the Monday Morning Quarterback which popularize the infamous lines, "How can he leave Pedro Martinez in for the 8th inning?!?!?!?!"

Do you know that poker players are the regular victims of post diction? They employ this tool in order to justify the bad play they made in order for their pride and skill appear to be whole. For instance a poker player assume that he was drawing to 6 outs which is not correct. The he just know his mistake when the hands are already turned up. The truth is that he's hand had 10 outs. And then he employ this recent info to justify the call. Your rivals may think that you have read the situation on the spot and their respect for you will rise.

No matter how good it is for your side, post diction is not a child's play. It is a very volatile situation to be caught. Playing poker is not about how the hands end but on how you play the game depending on the info available in your lap. If you indulge in post diction in order to justify your game then it will be difficult for you to see your mistakes and act upon it in order for you not to commit it again in the future.

Post diction is virtually beloved by suffering players. You truly acknowledged this rather person. They experience all stuff about the game since they've been playing for a while but they'll tell that they're most abject players in the world. Truth is that they are just unrighteous of post diction and the errors they made in their game are very conspicuous and big.

Its really simple to play Monday Morning Quarterback than accepting that you made a major blunder. Keep in mind that in life and poker the simple way out is not the best choice. It takes a lot of guts and hard work in order for someone to be honest with themselves and to become triumphant in this game. - 16887
