His Mother, Senator Eleanor Shaw is pulling all the political strings. A quandary is developing for her plans. Major Bennett Marco, a member of Raymond's platoon is starting to mistrust the events of the day Raymond saved the platoon. Marco is battling an uphill battle, but cannot defend against the pesky impression that something is not right.

Sawdust and Tinsel - Kindles soar in this stunning, metaphorical movie set in a small-time carnival and concentrating on the relation between carnival owner Gronberg and his oversexed mistress (Andersson). Cast includes Harriet Andersson, Ake Gronberg, Anders Ek, Gudrun Brost, Hasse Ekman, and Annika Tretow. (92 minutes, 1953)

Down Argentine Way - Entertaining 20th Century Fox musical with Grable in the movie that raised her to celebrity falling in love with slick Argentinean horse breeder Ameche. Miranda is fantastic in her first American film, acting infectious Brazilian music with her own band and look out for the Nicholas Brothers, who do a dynamite forte number. Picture postcard color all the way through. Cast includes Don Ameche, Betty Grable, Carmen Miranda, Charlotte Wood, Carrol Naish, Henry Stephenson, and Leonid Kinskey. (90 minutes, 1940)

The Gene Krupa Story - Ordinary version of awesome jazz drummer's life, his ups and downs, and his battle with pill dependency Cast includes Don Weis, Sal Mineo, Susan Kohner, James Darren, Susan Oliver, Yvonne Craig, Lawrence Dobkin, Red Nichols, and Buddy Lester. (101 minutes, 1959)

So whether you know it or not, when you sit down and slow down and view a great film you are doing yourself a good turn. You are permitting yourself to slow down and dream, escape your own troubles and enjoy some quiet downtime and you are also learning more about other people and the world we all live in. It is no wonder that motion pictures are almost everybody's most wanted source of entertainment. - 16887
