The deadliest weapon in all the martial arts world is...the towel. This weapon is so deadly it should be outlawed. In fact, anybody caught with a towel in hand should be arrested and thrown into the darkest prison!
When one considers the towel, one should consider the vast speed it moves at. The hand flicks, and the tip of the towel can exceed one hundred miles an hour! Thus, the tip of a speeding towel can split skin and create mighty welts!
There is one trick that make a towel even more deadly. By dipping the end of the towel into water one can cause even greater pain, and inflict even more damage! A towel tip dipped into water, you must understand, is going to have more weight, and more integrity when striking.
The towel is also one weapon that can be easily hidden. Wrapped around the hips, it is hidden in plain sight! I mean, who in the world is going to scared of a naked body wrapped in towel?
And, speaking of this hidden factor, when are you most susceptible to attack? When you have no weapon! When you have a spear or sword, or even a simple knife in hand, people are much more loathe to attack you!
If you are standing dripping wet, maybe from a shower, or a simple swim in the lake, people arent going to be scared of you. It should be pointed out, to be truthful, that in such undressed state is when people are most likely to attack you! Heck, muggers are going to want to attack you when you have the appearance of being unarmed.
If you are wearing nothing a towel, and you are attacked, you dont need to look around for some means to defend yourself. All you have to give a severe jolt to the attacker is drop your towel! Then you start dancing around, snapping and flicking with great abandon, and your attacker will shortly be running, screaming, down the street!
The funny thing is that you think I am just joking with this article. Miyamoto Musashi, that most phenomenal swordsman, was once attacked by a dozen sword wielding thugs in a bathhouse! Using nothing but a towel and his, uh, prodigious talents, ran the thugs out of the bathhouse and chased them down the street! - 16887
