The Easiest Way To Get A Six Pack Quick

By Dave Grenner

A friend of mine recently told me the definition of insanity. The definition states "Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results." When I am at the gym and I am looking around I see that the majority of exercisers are insane. They do the same routine day in and day out. They will never get six pack abs this way. Follow my advice for the easiest way to get six pack abs.

Forget about doing long bouts of cardiovascular training. It is a waste of time. The idea about doing long bouts of cardio is that you stay in the fat burning zone. But guess what happens when you are done? You go back to your normal metabolic rate. Do intervals. Even though you are well above the fat burning zone, in the long run you will be in fat burning zone longer. After the interval session is over your body will have to recover and repair the working muscles. This will keep you in the fat burning zone for up to 12 hours after completing the workout.

Do compound exercises. These include weighted dips, bent over rows, military press, squats, lunges and dead lifts. These exercises burn more calories than using a machine at the gym. These exercises will also release a growth hormone that will help build muscle. The more lean muscle you have the more calories you burn per day. Since the demands of these exercises are so high, your body will have an elevated metabolism for up to 24 hours after the workout. Lastly, all of these exercises include your abdominals. Since balance and stabilization is involved you have to keep your abs contracted during the exercises.

Make sure that you are on a proper diet and avoid consuming too little calories. You will be working hard and your body needs to refuel. What you are looking for is a diet in which you consume 500 calories less than what it would take to maintain your weight taking in account what you expend with your workouts per day. You are also looking to vary the amount of calories that you eat each day. If you continuously eat less calories your body will try to adjust and actually lower your metabolism. If you change the daily amount of calories while keeping an overall calorie deficient diet, you will maintain if not increase your metabolism while losing fat.

Do not do 100 crunches a day. If you want to increase the size of your biceps you would not do 100 curls with a 5 pound weight. So why do so many people do this with their abs. Add weight so the maximum amount of repetitions you can complete is 12 to 15. This is the most effective repetition range to build was board abs. - 16887
