Looking For A Great Movie? Check Out These Great Movie Critiques

By Kim Webster

Some of us recollect the days when the only way to see the newest motion picture was to pack up and go to the theater or the drive-in movie. Yes, they used to have drive in movies that you would go to and park your car to watch the movie. A few cities may still have drive-in movies but these days they are few and far between.

High Crimes - Lawyer Claire Kubik has just been informed that her husband is not who she thinks he is. Tom Kubik is actually Ron Chapman, and he is on trial in the military justice system for the slaying of villagers in Latin America. Claire takes on the case but just what will she find out, as the truth is unraveled?

Only You - Nice confection in reference to a youthful female who invests her entire life looking for her perfect mate whose name was summoned up on a Ouija board. Cast includes Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey, Jr., Bonnie Seek, Joaquim De Almeida, Fisher Stevens, and Phyllis Newman. (108 minutes,'94)

The Horse Whisperer - After her daughter is gravely injured in a horse riding accident, her well-heeled mother takes the horse to a renowned horse whisperer in Montana. A romance between the two follows.

Number One with a Bullet - Carradine and Williams do well in this somewhat average action movie where we have aggressive investigators out to depose a drug kingpin. Cast includes Robert Carradine, Billy Dee Williams, Valerie Bertinelli, Peter Graves, Doris Roberts, and Bobby DiCicco. (101 minutes,'87)

Barnyard - Excited zaniness set on a farm where, after sundown, the animals turn the barn into a raucous nightclub. James is Otis, a youthful cow who is very grown-up, much to the annoyance of his dad, Ben Elliott, who keeps watch for predatory coyotes when the others party. Dom Irrera stands out as Duke the Dog. Cast includes Courtney Cox, Sam Elliott, Danny Glover, Wanda Sykes, Andie MacDowell, David Koechner, and Laraine Newman. (90 minutes, 2006)

The wave of the future is downloading movies rather than buying or renting them. The future is now so you can take advantage of this great opportunity to search out the best movies now. - 16887
