Now, a lot of people rent films on a regular basis. Typically we all wait to rent the box office hits, in lieu of watching films at the movie theaters. Here is a short list of some of the most popular DVD rentals in October 2008.

One new method for getting films is through movie downloads. There are websites where you can purchase tons of movie downloads. This a very convenient way to create a film library.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: The Indiana Jones adventure continues, after a 19 year break. This the latest film in the Indiana Jones series. In this movie Mr. Jones battles the Soviets. This time, it's off top the Amazon to search for the Crystal Skulls, and the powers they might possess.

THE LAZARUS PROJECT: One time crook Ben Garvey is a new man now. With a loving family, and a job that pays the bills, he can't complain. Then, he inexplicably loses his steady paycheck, and reverts to his old life of crime. His criminal rebirth is a complete bust, and he will pay with his life. He expects the lethal injection to kill him. Shockingly, he regains consciousness only to find himself in a mental hospital. He now struggles for his sanity, and his soul.

LINEWATCH: Michael Dixon (Cuba Gooding Jr.) is a respected boarder agent in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. But Michael's past are going to catch up with him. A long time ago, he was in the violent L.A. gang scene, but he had the courage to leave. When a chance encounter gives away his location to a member of his old gang, he and his family are in a dangerous situation. He is forced risk it all, and ensure that the gang can gat a large supply of drugs into the U.S.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This feature film tells a story about Dr. Bruce Banner (Edward Norton), who is now, due to a military accident, has become the Incredible Hulk. This film tells of the marvel comic character the green Hulk. Edward Norton, Tim Roth, William hurt, all have roles in this film. Louis Leterrier directs this film. The film style is sci-fi/action thriller.

DECEPTION: Auditor for the elite, Jonathan McQuarry has an unusual meeting with charismatic corporate lawyer Wyatt Bose. This chance meeting is one that changes his life forever. He is introduced to "The List", where people find access to a sexual indiscretions. Unfortunately, he is also led into a world of betrayal, treachery and death.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: Trying to find his brother, professor Trevor Anderson explores caves in Iceland that leads him to the center of the earth. This is a newer edition of the 1959 film, which was about the classic work by celebrated writer Jules Verne. Starring Brendan Fraser and Josh Hutchinson.

THE HAPPENING: Confused and frightened, teacher Elliot Moore, with his wife and many other frightened people are all fleeing Philadelphia on a train. Their city has been thrown into chaos. Citizens are being affected by an unusual force, and are committing suicide. Can we find an answer, or is this the last stand of the human race?

IRON MAN: Super stud, engineering expert, Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) is captured by insurgent fighters in Afghanistan. He is ordered to build weapons for the insurgent group. He was hurt while he was being captured, and he has shrapnel lodged in his chest. To overcome his wound, and escape his captors, he designs a suit of armor, that makes him super strong. We have a new comic book super hero on the scene.

SPEED RACER: The 1990's television cartoon is now a movie hit. Much like the movie The Flinstones, Speed Racer was a TV cartoon that was turned into a feature film with actors. Born into the family business, Speed Racer is a young man who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a huge racing event that had cost his brother his life. With no one expecting him to win, and the family business on the line, he surprisingly teams up with his old rival Racer X, in a last ditch effort to give himself a chance to win, so the family business won't go under. - 16887
