Every day more and more people get involved in the exciting game of paintball. Many people think of this game as an extreme sport, but the difference between this and extreme sports is that paintball is very much a team sport game. The game is definitely extreme but the key in winning is learning to work with a team.

Originally created by the Nelson paint Co., the invention rose out of the need to figure out how to mark trees and forests. Soon after paintballs were used for marking Cows buy cattle owners. Eventually someone created a fun way to play again with this paint ball and a devolved into what we know it as today.

Because of its great team-based environment, you can see corporate companies using paintball as a teambuilding exercise. If this is your first time getting behind the trigger of a paintball gun, here's a couple things that you should understand so you can have a fun game. It is also good for you to learn how to have a safe game.

Protection is one of the most important things when it comes to paintball. Every year there are countless injuries because people get into the game without taking the time to get the right equipment. The helmet is probably the most important piece because protect your ears, your eyes, and soft tissue. The speed of a paintball can do damage rather quickly.

Cover your skin. You don't need expensive equipment but you should have a long sleeves. A paintball to direct skin stings. In addition, make sure you're wearing long pants and socks, and sturdy shoes or boots.

To be a successful player you need to follow some further simple rules. Well, of course you need the right gear. Without a high quality gear it's hard to win. But, I think knowledge and skills are even more important. It does not make sense to spend a fortune on gear, if you don't know how hide effectively; playing in a team and so on. Approach the game with a sense of strategy, and you and your team can do well. Many players just go out and shoot what ever they see. A game plan is critical to your success.
