With today's home entertainment systems, many of us get movie rentals regularly. Typically we all wait to rent the box office hits, in place of watching films at the movie theaters. Here is a short list of some of the most popular DVD rentals in October 2008.

An innovative method for getting films is movie downloads. You can go to websites on the internet where you can purchase downloads of 1,000's of movies. This a fantastic solution for those looking to increase your movie selections.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: The Indiana Jones adventure continues, after a 19 year break. This the most recent movie of the exploits of the infamous Indiana Jones. In this, the latest adventure, An older Indiana is pitted against post war Soviets. Now, the chase is on for ancient relics called the Crystal Skulls, and the secrets they carry.

THE LAZARUS PROJECT: Ex con Ben Garvey has changed his life for the better. With a stable home, and steady paycheck, he can't complain. Then, he is fired from work, and he turns to crime for the solution. People die during an attempted robbery, and he winds up on death row. He fully expects to be killed by lethal injection. To his surprise, he wakes up bewildered, and in a psychiatric ward. He now struggles for his sanity, and his spiritual well being.

LINEWATCH: Well likes Michael Dixon is a boarder man in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. Now, things in his past are about to rear it's ugly head. He was part of a violent Los Angeles gang, but he had the courage to leave. When a chance encounter gives away his location to his old gang leader, he finds himself in a dangerous situation. He must put it all on the line, and work with the gang to get a large supply of drugs into the U.S.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This movie tells the story of Dr. Bruce Banner (Edward Norton), who has been changed into a creature called the green Hulk. This feature film is a story about the comic legend, the Hulk. Key cast members are Edward Norton, Tim Roth and Liz Tyler. Louis Leterrier directed this movie. The film genre is sci-fi/action.

DECEPTION: Jonathan McQuarry, a bored and lonely corporate auditor, has a chance encounter with charismatic corporate lawyer Wyatt Bose. This an event that changes his life forever. He learns about "The List", which provides access to a secret world of sexual ecstasy. Unfortunately, he also gets caught up in a world of corruption, treason and death.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: On a quest to find his brother, science professor Trevor Anderson sets out on a journey that puts him on a journey to the center of earth. This another version of the original 1959 movie, which was about the science fiction book by highly acclaimed author Jules Verne. Cast includes Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutchinson, Anita Briem, and Seth Myers.

THE HAPPENING: Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberb), along with his wife and some friends are all fleeing Philadelphia on a train. Philadelphia has been thrown into chaos. People have been overwhelmed by some strange illness, and are dying at their own hands. Can we find the solution, or is this the end of the human race?

IRON MAN: Man of the town, arms builder, Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) is captured by insurgent fighters in Afghanistan. He is instructed to build missiles for the insurgent group. He suffered a bad injury when his convoy was attacked, and has metal in his chest. To survive his injuries, and escape his captors, he creates a suit made of armor, that makes him super strong. We now have another super hero, Iron Man.

SPEED RACER: The 1990's television cartoon is now a movie hit. Similar to The Flinstones, Speed Racer was a TV cartoon that was turned to a movie with an actual cast. Speed Racer is a young man who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a major rally car race that his older brother lost his live in. Against all odds, and the family business on the line, he partners up with his arch rival Racer X, in an effort to capture the championship, so the family business won't go under. - 16887
